House Keeper – Part Time.

We are a family run business with a number of Nursing and Residential Care Homes that have been caring and nursing for people in Gloucestershire for over 30 years. Our philosophy is to provide warm, compassionate and friendly environments whilst aiming to enrich people’s lives at a time when they thought that might not be easily achieved.
We are committed to providing the highest possible standards of person-care to our residents while ensuring their safety and promoting wellbeing. As we continue to succeed in our ambition, we are looking for housekeepers to join our growing team in Shurdington.
We are unable to support relocation or offer sponsorship for this post.

Benefits
· Paid Weekly – up to £12.21 per hour

· Work on a rolling shift pattern including alternate weekend.

Responsibilities
· To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the home;
· To implement safe working procedures and practices in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and the COSHH policy and procedures;
· To routinely clean rooms including furniture fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment as per the daily cleaning schedule;
· To clean sanitary and other equipment, with attention to the guidelines for the control of germs and infestation;
· To deal with refuse and dispose of it in the correct manner;
· To ensure safe operation and maintenance, as needed, of all equipment;
· To undertake deep cleans of all areas including residents’ rooms and communal areas;
· To support the kitchen with washing and cleaning in the evening;
· To undertake other duties, as may be necessary from time-to-time;
· To communicate effectively and professionally with residents, colleagues and visitors;
· To work as part of a team supporting others;
· To work effectively within policies, procedures, aims, objectives and philosophy of the company.

Requirements
The ideal candidate for the role will be:
· Caring, compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic;
· Eager to stay active and want to give back to the community;
· Conscientious with good attention for detail;
· Effective in their communication and a strong team player.

We also seek someone with a “can-do” attitude displaying a sensitive, warm and approachable nature but with a determination to get things done.
